why oh why

so im in a hotel room in delaware trying to do some work on my laptop before taking the train back to NYC (since i don't sleep anymore, i might as well be productive)

played here at the University of Delaware last night, and the show was a lot of fun...thanks so much to everyone here who came last night...and especially to Doug & Andrew & everyone at their organization for inviting me and making it happen

the show in Paris sold out in under 24 hours! hopefully no one's getting left out as space is limited, but there's still space at the 2nd london show...and it's only a train ride away! :)

speaking of trains i have to leave for mine. it's back to NYC and straight to work from penn station (i proofread legal documents for a translation company). why oh why must i have a dayjob?

i'm probably going to be waiting tables at a diner when i'm 80. with no retirement fund or health insurance. god bless america!

I believe that you Americans can do something about this with elections, then again I'm not as rightfully cynical as you.

I' so sorry for destroying your illusions now, but I really don't think that you'll end as a waiter...I mean, sold out in under 24 hours - that's awesome, you are awesome, Jay!! :)

jay,jay, busy all day....
you may be a waiter at 80, but I would still come to the restaurant just to have you wait on me :)
I won't ever retire either, so we'll be chums :)
have a great week!

aww don't say that Jay. You just need to drop a full CD and you will make truck loads of money. I don't see you waiting tables, you were born to be a star.

Yeah.. same, tickets to london are kind of expensive... book for another concert in Paris Jay!! You could enjoy some more time visiting, do shopping or just walking around!

An octogenarian waiter/singer/songwriter/proofreader eh? I would gladly bring my nonogenarian masseur/theologian/retail whore sellf to your cafe to commiserate.

So... how does someone get a day job?
I'd really like to know.
Guess fate has strange ways to keep ones' identity off sight. *sigh*
But, really-really-really, I'd like to know...
(Oh, right, this isn't MY blog. Yay, Jay!)
