hi! so i'm back and have had a few days to catch up from a week of FOUR performances in london & paris. i had sooo much fun and i wanna thank everyone again for coming to the shows...
this was a reaaaallly busy trip, so i didn't have much time for taking pictures, but here's just a few:
okay, london, what are we eating here?
i ran into harry potter at a pub!!!!!! he's had LASIK eye surgery since doing the books & movies, and--i figured he didn't want to discuss it--but it appears he's had plastic surgery as well (to remove the lightning bolt scar). also, he's going by "rob" now...to maintain his anonymity on the streets one would assume.
the barfly!!! the venue where i played my second & biggest show in london. people were fucking in the back. i'm serious -- fucking. don't believe me? terra naomi has it on tape. i couldn't have asked for a better response to my first time performing in london. hi, mom!
i was literally in paris for about 4.5 seconds, but i just HAD to take a picture of this. know what "preservatif" means? condom. that's right -- they sell fucking condoms IN the metro stations in paris. i love it. truth is, both the paris metro & the london underground were packed with some of the most beautiful men you have ever seen...i'm glad the government recognizes that and helps its citizens to be prepared.
i miss you europe!! i'll be back soon. do me a favor though -- try to have some restaurants open after 10 p.m. ("22:00h" in europese)...and look, SOMEWHERE to eat during the hours of 3 p.m. & 6 p.m. wouldn't kill anyone. some of us do get hungry during those times. oh -- and on sundays. restaurant hours on sundays...yeah.

Ha, ha, ha, Pukka Pies, Harry-Potteresque-people, people engaging in public displays of explicit affection, metro condoms... Oh, this world just kills me!
Hey, I know where I'm spending my next vacations, Europe (well the next vacations when I'm rich and famous. Meaning, never. But one can dream, right?)
Thanks for the humorous chronicles Jay.
(And finally I got to be the first one to comment, a personal best {ok, it's a little sad, I agree})
hey really great!
People were getting down to your music. That's...amazing.
I love your blog and all of the hilarious honesty that goes with it.
And yeah, London rules and I'll have none of that anti-London mindset, deary!
<333
hiya! heh, lovely blog entry. ooh, and king's cross. wow man, you shouldn't have left London without finding platform 9 and 3/4 :P
glad you had a great time, wish i had seen you performing. maybe some time in the future. you'll be famous enough to come to our dirty little country named Hungary :)
kiss-kiss
they didn't have anything to eat after 10pm? That's weird. And you're right, they also think we're crazy to eat between 3-6pm.
That's way there's always McDonald's..Yippeee.
well next time u come to Paris go to Le Comptoir de Madame Tomate, they're open from 9am till 4am and u can eat at any time :D
thank you for the show at the Studio Campus and for the draw! i like the smiley lol
Hope you'll come back soon for another show in Paris!!
xoxo
Glad you enjoyed your trip to Europe, it is really great here! I can't believe people were fucking at the back of the barfly gig, thats awesome. I was at the front so didn't see any of that hot action! haha. I'm looking forward to your next trip to London! xx
Then definitely you must come to Madrid...
OMG were they REALLY people fucking in the back at Barfly ? HAHAHA unbelievable! Anyway the best was happening on stage. This was probably my favorite show of yours, up there with Highline. Though I loved Paris because it was special... Oh fuck it, I loved all of them!
As for shops/restaurants opening hours in Paris, why do you think I want to move to NYC? haha
And it might be a matter of taste but the hottest guys I've seen so far were in New York too...
Anywya, come back to Europe soon !
xoxoxo
Ok I have to credit Madrid too for having the hottest guys on the streets and in the subway.
So please take mariorecuerda's invitation and go play in Madrid ! (i'll come) ;-)
Psst... you couldn't find that platform because you weren't at King's Cross - you took that photo in St. Pancras, the station *next* to King's Cross. :)
St. Pancras goes to Paris, King's Cross goes to, um, Grantham. And, apparently, magical parallel universes.
hey Jay! you're OK!
luv your music, are you're fxxxxxg cute!
hugzzz
p.p.

Tell me about restaurants and opening hours!!!!
I'm a Brazilian living in Brussels... maaaaaaan, it sucks!
It's been 1 and a half year, and I'm still not used to it...
have lost some weight, though! :-)
Really... I promise to make it your next show in Paris or London... it was just difficult to leave the bank in such a short notice...
But hey... my doors are open for Brussels!!! Let's find you a cool festival for you to play in!!!!
PS: I WANNA A DISASTERPIECE CD!!!
In London, it's all about where you look - there are food stalls open all day and chippies that stay open until the godforsaken hours (trust me, I used to live above one, and many a tipsy evening found me there satisfying my post-booze munchies at I-shudder-to-think-what-time), you just have to know what you're looking for. Come to Edinburgh. Or Grahamstown. They both rock. Oh, in Grahamstown, the South African govermnent gives out condoms for free, and they're everywhere (even the library, for all the little buggers who feel randy in the third flooor economics journals section)
Hey Jay,
Thanks for taking the time to keep up your blog. You are a remarkable talent--saw your video clip on Logo WOW. Why do artists with your talent and ability not get the treatment like Josh Groban who makes me puke compared to you.
Puhleeze become a really big star so you'll be super rich and can do so much for others. Keep your energy up--your schedule looks gruesome.

not sure how I missed this post till now but I am glad I popped by. You always make me smile...so I thank you for that!
Hope you have a great weekend coming up.....OH...that top pic on this post was excellent. It would make a superb poster!
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII wasn't there!!!!!!!!
I missed the concert in Paris(tix sold out remember...) and even missed you in the metro...(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhh!!!)
Yes sir, we do have condoms in the metro and even more at home. When do you come back to Paris??
From the little french boy to the american boy....
xxxx
We do not dine late in London....we drink.
Spain is the place you need to go to for late dining....go there for some culture.
As for condoms in the metro...not enough I say!!!
i missed you when you went to Paris 'cause i didn't know you yet. I really hope you are going to find a record label because you're so talented you deserve it ! Now i am going to follow you by the web waiting for your next coming to FRANCE (lovers' country :p ). You have to know that some fans as me can't buy your album "unmastered", it's only by Itunes :(
Best wishes for this new year, peace out.
Loves from a frenchie
yes you're right french man are georgeous :)
Hey this is really kind of funny, but I am in a position I can answer most of your questions! See I am French, I have been living in London for the last 4 years and I'm moving to New York in a week and a half!
Restaurants are not open between 3 and 6 and after 10 in Paris, because those bastards think you have to get up at 6, have lunch at 12, dinner at 8 and go to bed at 10. Who lives like that now? Oh not me!
Platform 9 3/4? Could show it to you, but it's not on the Eurostar station. See London has this "King's Cross- St Pancras station" where King's Cross and St Pancras are actually 2 different stations!!! Silly. So you were in the St Pancras International station and Platform 9 3/4 is in King's Cross station, more than 10 minutes walk from where you were!
Wish I had known you were performing though! But I'll definitely go and see you in new York!!!
Les capotes a paris coutent tellement cher ( 2 euros ) qu'ont finis par ne plus baiser !!!
Hiiiiiiii
France... and Paris... i miss Paris so much now i'm living in the south of France...
Thanks for the humourous chronicles and YEAH i hope that one day we'll be able to find just ONE restaurant opened after 10pm in France!!!!!
